Mads Nissen is a freelance photojournalist based in Shanghai, China.
Born in 1979 in Hobro, Denmark, Mads studied photojournalism at The Danish School of Journalism, followed by an internship at the Danish daily, ‘Politiken’. In 2006 he participated in the World Press Photo/ASEF seminar for young photographers in Manila, The Philippines. He made the move to Shanghai in 2007 to cover the economical and political development.
