CNN

'It's the sort of place where shop owner Havel, 60, can point to the guy sitting next to him and say, "His daddy delivered me for $96."'

That's how CNN describes the community of West, Texas, which was rocked last week by a giant explosion at a fertilizer plant. Global Assignment photographer Jennifer Boomer spent some time in West, and captured the residents' distinct way of life and how they are carrying on in spite of the tragedy. Stern

While the announcement of the new pope was big news all over the world, it was especially momentous in Pope Francis's homeland of Argentina. We put Global Assignment photographer Alejandro Kirchuk on assignment for Stern Magazine as the people of Argentina welcomed the news of their native son ascending to the papacy.

Markit Group

Financial information services company Markit Group recently marked their 10-year anniversary, and as part of the celebration they decided to produce an anniversary book. Assigning local photographers, we shot 11 key staff members in 6 different offices around the world.
